About the role

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Health Care professionals at our Orange campus. This role involves some travel to conduct workplace-based assessments and support students in real-world learning environments.

Bring your industry expertise and enthusiasm for health care to the classroom, helping students develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to achieve their career goals and succeed in the workforce.

As a TAFE NSW Teacher, you will deliver high-quality training and facilitate engaging learning experiences across Diploma of Nursing and Health Services Assistance, supporting students to achieve positive educational and employment outcomes. You will create flexible, inclusive, and learner-centred environments that encourage participation, skill development, and success.

About You

You have the ambition and drive to succeed and mentor your students, passing on your experience and knowledge. You are passionate, can work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders including industry and students.

To be successful in the role, you will:

1. Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Bachelor of Nursing, and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
2. Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
3. Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
4. Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
