As the state’s largest provider of vocational training, TAFE NSW plays a vital role in delivering future-focused, responsive, and flexible skills education to the people of NSW, regardless of who they are, or where they live.

Our People Structure

TAFE NSW employs people from all backgrounds and work experiences in a mix of full-time, part-time, temporary, and casual positions in Teaching, Teaching Support and Corporate roles. 

Our organisational structure has six Groups each with a Chief at the helm who is accountable for delivering on our strategic goals. Sitting outside of these groups is the Office of the Managing Director which has specific touch points relevant to each Group.

Office of the Managing Director

Serves as a focal point for matters relating to the Managing Director, Minister’s Office and TAFE NSW’s relationship with the media, and other areas of Government. It works closely with the Executive Leadership Team, TAFE NSW business groups, branches and regions to facilitate the provision of high-quality information and advice, manage strategic and reputational risks, and ensure TAFE NSW delivers on its objectives.

The Learning and Teaching Group

Led by the Chief Learning and Teaching Officer, the Learning and Teaching Group delivers industry-aligned education, prioritising state-wide consistency, the adoption of best practices, and educational planning and delivery to ensure our course offerings and delivery methods meet the needs of students, industry and the community. 

The Product & Quality Group

Led by our Chief Product and Quality Officer, the Product & Quality Group develops a comprehensive suite of innovative, quality, and digitally enabled products, and rapidly aligning courses to the changing needs of industry and the economy, and ensures TAFE NSW meets its educational obligations as an RTO and Higher Education provider. 

The Student Support and Community Group

Led by the Chief Student & Community Officer, the Student Support and Community Group provides services across three branches, Student and Campus Services, Aboriginal Engagement and Student Support and Engagement, Partnerships and Growth to support exceptional learner experiences and strong place-based connections with the people of NSW.

The Corporate Services Group

Led by the Chief Operating Officer, the Corporate Services Group provides services and advice to all parts of the business in the areas of finance, procurement, infrastructure, facilities, governance, legal, and RTO compliance.

The People Group

Led by the Chief People Officer, the People Group develops and sustains a capable, engaged, and adaptable workforce, and ensure we operate in a safe, diverse, and inclusive work environment.

The Digital Solutions Group

Led by our Chief Information Officer, the Digital Solutions Group is accountable for accelerating digital adoption and enabling a more connected TAFE NSW.
