TAFE NSW is currently offering skilled and qualified industry experts the opportunity to gain the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 (TAE) qualification and become a TAFE NSW Teacher via 3 potential pathways:
Fast track becoming a TAFE NSW Teacher via our 14-week Paid to Learn program. This annual recruitment program offers limited places in specific teaching areas where you will be paid to undertake the TAE and post successful course completion, be offered a role as a TAFE NSW Teacher!
Studying the TAE
The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) course is available to study via a number of different delivery options and can take up to 18 months to complete.

Your Day to Day
- Teach students face-to-face in classrooms and online
- Support students 1:1
- Issue, mark and provide feedback on assessments
- Student administration, including marking rolls and recording results
- Maintain relationships with local industry and employers
- Stay current with industry practice
