Salary package up to $100,536, includes salary ($80,246 – $88,576), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (paid pro rata, based on part time hours completed)

About the role

The Technical Officer Scientific Nursing is a hands‑on, dynamic role at the heart of nursing education delivery. You’ll be instrumental in creating high‑quality, industry‑aligned clinical learning environments by preparing and maintaining labs, equipment and resources that bring practical nursing skills to life. Working closely with teaching staff, you’ll ensure every class is set up for success and reflects real‑world clinical practice.

We are currently recruiting for two permanent part-time opportunities:

  • Ballina Campus: 1 x Permanent Part-Time, Part-Year position working 10 hours per week for 41 weeks per year. Days of work may vary according to business needs.
  • Kingscliff Campus: 1 x Permanent Part-Time position working 21 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Days of work may vary according to business needs.

Essential Requirements

  • A valid Working with Children Check (required prior to commencement)
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current nursing practice, including the use of appropriate equipment in nursing procedures, medical terminology and infection control principles
  • Demonstrated experience in administration, including inventory management, purchase and maintenance of equipment, and basic financial recording
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work as a member of a team with minimal supervision in area relating to the role
