For Shane, TAFE NSW's parental leave policy gave him something truly special: time. With access to 14 weeks of paid leave and the flexibility to use it in a way that suited his family, Shane was able to step away from work and focus fully on bonding with his son.

Cathy has been teaching at TAFE NSW for over 17 year and played a key role in establishing the Mini Woolies learning facility at Loftus, a simulated supermarket environment that provides students with disabilities real-world retail experience.

For Shay, fitness is key to her wellbeing. Using Fitness Passport for nearly two years, she enjoys yoga, swimming, pilates, and strength training - all at a fraction of the usual cost.
The flexibility helped Shay during a tough personal time, providing routine and stress relief by accessing gyms and pools nearby. Before Fitness Passport, she never thought yoga or swimming suited her, but now they’re her favourite ways to unwind and are now an essential part of her weekly routine.

Miodrag (Mili) has been with TAFE NSW for 18 years, returning to teaching after starting his own hospitality career. Inspired by the energy of the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Mili now shares his passion through hands-on teaching at The Apprentice restaurant on Ultimo campus.
