We provide you with tools and ongoing training and professional development, health and wellbeing programs, a 35-hour working week with a variety of flexible working options.
About the role
The Workforce Design and Change Specialist plays a key role in shaping and delivering TAFE NSW’s organisation change agenda. As part of a centralised workforce design and change function, you will partner with leaders to design, assess and implement organisational changes that support strategic goals and uplift the employee experience.
In this role, you may focus primarily on organisation design including analysing current structures, developing options, modelling workforce impacts, and ensuring alignment to operating model principles. Alternatively, you may specialise in change implementation supporting business units to deliver approved changes, coordinating end-to-end processes, preparing data and documentation, ensuring governance compliance, and guiding leaders through transition.
Across both streams, you will work in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands on delivery. You will contribute to consistent practice, quality assurance, and improved ways of working across the Workforce Design and Change team.
About You
You are an experienced practitioner with strong foundations in organisational design or workforce transition. You bring strong analytical capability, structured problem solving and a sharp attention to detail, with the ability to translate complex workforce information into clear, actionable insights.
You communicate with confidence and build trusted relationships quickly. Whether you are designing organisational options or supporting local managers through implementation, you work with clarity, fairness and respect. You navigate ambiguity with ease, manage sensitive matters discretely, and provide sound advice across industrial and employee relations interfaces.
You thrive in a collaborative team environment, stay calm under pressure and consistently deliver quality outcomes. Above all, you are motivated by improving how people, structures and work come together to support TAFE NSW’s strategic direction.
