About the role

We're seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of School Based Education Support students by joining our team of teachers on a permanent full-time basis located at Wollongbar Campus.

TAFE NSW Wollongbar Campus is set in a peaceful rural environment in the Ballina Shire - Northern Rivers. Surrounded by farmland and the rolling hills of nearby Alstonville and Lismore communities, it offers a relaxed study setting while remaining close the local beaches of Ballina and Lennox Head.

Essential Requirements:

• Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of:

           - Bachelor of Education - Primary or Secondary OR

           - Bachelor of Teaching – Primary or Secondary (preferred)

• Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training (see the candidate support document (here) for details) OR a willingness to undertake our full time 14 week 'Paid to Learn' course.
• Have a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience in Primary or Secondary Education profession, relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five (5) years previously.

Paid to Learn: for candidates who do not hold an appropriate VET teaching qualification or equivalent, you have the option to be paid to learn as you transition from industry to teaching with guaranteed work following successful completion of the 14 weeks Training and Assessment course. Those who already hold the appropriate teaching qualification or equivalent are still eligible to apply.

Applicants for part-time positions should note that participation in the 14‑week PTL program requires full-time attendance of 35 hours per week throughout the 14 week program.
