$111,798 – $132,585 salary package - includes base salary ($98,499 – $116,813), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (pro-rata)

About the role

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of language, literacy and numeracy students!  

You will help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. In addition, you will facilitate learning by delivering world-class educational programs, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. In your next role, you will:

  • Teach students face-to-face in classrooms and online
  • Issue, mark and provide comprehensive feedback on assessments
  • Undertake student administration, including marking registers and recording results
  • Maintain relationships with local industry professionals and employers

The successful candidate will be required to support classes at both the Lismore and Casino campuses.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will:

  • Have appropriate subject knowledge and skills, with a minimum qualification as per below:  

a) A recognised* Bachelor degree (AQF 7) in education, with an LLND focus OR; 

b) A recognised* postgraduate qualification (AQF 8 or higher) in LLND OR; 

c) A qualification at AQF5 (or above) and relevant experience in an LLND area 

Note: successful applicants coming in under c) must complete Adult Literacy and Numeracy Teaching (ALaNT) + TAELLN skillset (TAESS00026 or predecessor) within 18 months of engagement (ALaNT expected to be available from S2, 2026). 

* From an accredited Australian Higher Education Institution, or qualification recognised as equivalent to the stated AQF level or higher by the Australian Government Country Education Profiles (CEPs) tool. 

  • Have a minimum of (3) three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
  • Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
