About the role
The Senior Finance Officer – Systems and Transaction Support is central to the smooth delivery of TAFE NSW’s financial services, providing expert advice and resolving complex finance enquiries across accounts payable, receivable, expenses and travel. . The role provides expert advice and resolves complex finance enquiries across accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses and travel, while also delivering ongoing support for procurement and purchasing activities.
Using strong analytical skills, you’ll investigate issues, interpret data and support accurate, timely financial decision-making across the organisation.
This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives on problem-solving, collaboration and continuous improvement. You’ll help strengthen financial controls, enhance systems and processes, and support staff to confidently navigate finance procedures—delivering real impact in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need to be a highly organised individual with great attention to detail and communication skills.
You will also need to meet the below Essential Requirements:
1. Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
2. Working knowledge and experience of appropriate finance systems for the purposes of processing financial transactions and reporting.
3. Sound knowledge and experience in applying financial and accounting policies and procedures including an understanding of Accrual Accounting Standards, Treasurers Directions, Public Finance and Audit Act.
4. Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Role Description
Highly Desirable:
Experience using the following Financial Systems and working within a Helpdesk:
