$82,200 salary package - includes base salary ($70,926 - $78,289), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

TAFE NSW are seeking an Education Support Officer to support our online students in TAFE Digital! The role is responsible for providing tutorial and administrative support to learners studying within the Building and Construction industry as advised by a teacher. 

In the role, you will work closely to supplement and support the teaching activities by providing follow-up instruction as provided by a teacher and opportunities to practice skills to enhance the educative experience and engagement. 

Share your skills and passion for your industry, build the skills, qualifications, and employability, and support the career goals of our students. 

Note: This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources and does not deliver training nor undertake assessment.

About You

You will bring with you a passion to make a sustained and meaningful impact on industry and learners when sharing your subject knowledge expertise from industry and an appropriate vocational qualification.  

To be successful in this role you must possess:

  • Certificate IV in Building and Construction or above/equivalent.
  • Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
  • Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
