$111,798 – $132,585 salary package - includes base salary ($98,499 – $116,813), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

This position will deliver teaching online, which allows learners to complete their studies via a delivery mode that is suitable to their circumstances. The successful candidate will possess a high level of digital literacy, including the ability to support students through their online learning journey to keep them engaged and on track, using a variety of digital platforms.

While this position is delivering teaching online, you will need to be regularly on-site and may include student facing delivery. This role will also include teaching to evening classes.

About You

1. Qualifications in:

  • A recognised* Bachelor degree (AQF 7) in education, with a TESOL major OR
  • A recognised* Bachelor degree (AQF 7) + a postgraduate qualification (AQF 8 or higher) in TESOL OR
  • A recognised* Graduate Diploma or higher + a postgraduate qualification (AQF 8 or higher) in TESOL

* From an accredited Australian Higher Education Institution, or a qualification recognised as equivalent to the stated AQF level or higher by the Australian Government Country Education Profiles (CEPs) tool

2. Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.

3. Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details

4. Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience in teaching English as a second language in a multi-level classroom
  • Experience teaching in online environments
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work within teams
  • Bilingual skills
