About the role
As a Teacher of Community Services at TAFE NSW, you’ll work face to face with students, inspiring and empowering the next generation of care professionals. Drawing on your real‑world experience, you’ll create engaging learning experiences that build practical skills, confidence and nationally recognised qualifications—setting students up for meaningful, employment‑ready careers.
We have two Full-Time Permanent positions available, one located at our TAFE NSW Campbelltown Campus and the other located in our TAFE NSW Granville Campus. You’ll play a vital role in shaping future frontline workers who make a real difference in their communities. By mentoring, supporting and motivating learners at every stage, you’ll help them turn their passion for helping others into rewarding and impactful careers.
About You
To be successful in the role you will have:
1. A Degree or Diploma in a Community Services related area e.g. Social Work, Community Services, Mental Health, Disability and Ageing.
2.Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
3. Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
4. Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
