$222,700 package includes salary $197,662, employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role

Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) is looking for a Senior Manager Operations for their Kingswood campus.

TAFE NSW is seeking an experienced leader with deep construction industry expertise to manage operations at the Institute of Applied Technology – Construction (IATC). This role is vital in supporting the sector by addressing critical skills shortages and delivering high-impact, industry-aligned training.

You will lead teaching teams and oversee site operations, ensuring excellence in performance, customer experience, and educational delivery. Your strong understanding of construction workforce needs will guide the development of responsive programs that meet industry standards and TAFE NSW’s strategic goals.

Working within budget, you’ll ensure resources are effectively allocated to achieve business outcomes. You’ll also build and maintain commercial partnerships and represent TAFE NSW at key forums, fostering collaboration with universities, industry bodies, and community stakeholders.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of construction education and make a meaningful impact on workforce development in NSW.

About You 

To be successful in this role, you will have:-

  1. Degree qualification in related field or equivalent significant experience in vocational education and training.
  2. Demonstrated high level educational leadership capabilities in VET and/or Higher Education teaching, learning and assessment practice.
  3. Demonstrated experience in customer relations with the ability to lead a high performing team and to influence, engage and work collaboratively with others to achieve common objectives embedding customer centric principles in operations.
