About the role
We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a creative and motivated individual with current industry knowledge and experience in Nursing and Health to join our Wyong and Glendale team as an Education Support Officer (ESO). Working within a team of Nursing/Allied Health professionals, the ESO is supervised by the Head Teacher. The role is responsible for a range of activities which support learners and enhances the student learning experience.
You will be required to work 2 days in Wyong and 3 days Glendale, in addition travelling to industry, hospitals and other facilities within Hunter and Central Coast as required.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative and educational support to the Nursing and Allied Health section, working across a range of digital systems to prepare, format and organise student learning materials, assessments and resources. You will coordinate documents, assist with assembling student workbooks, and be a key point of support for teachers across the team.
This position also involves engaging with industry partners, arranging work placement for Nursing and Allied Health students, supporting workplace placement activities, and contributing to professional communication on behalf of TAFE NSW.
Note: This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources and does not deliver training, nor undertake assessment.
About You
You will love this role if you thrive on solving problems and helping others. You will be a part of a dynamic team, supporting students to successfully carry out tasks and understand their learning materials and concepts whilst creating an innovative and exciting educational environment. You will be technologically savvy with prior demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and online meeting platforms like MS Teams or Zoom to be able to support students both face to face as well as via connecting platforms.
To succeed, you will need strong organisational skills, attention to detail, confidence liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to work proactively across multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
