$96,098 salary package - includes base salary ($84,666) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (pro rata for part time)

About the role
We are seeking an Education Support Officer to work within the Electrical Trades section based at TAFE Online Strathfield Campus and support learners studying Electrical Trade courses. This is a permanent part time role and requires attendance on campus at Strathfield.
We are also establishing a Talent Pool (valid for 18 months) to support future temporary and permanent opportunities as they arise. If you would like to be considered for the talent pool, we strongly encourage you to apply.
In this role, you will work closely to supplement the teaching activities by providing follow-up instruction as provided by a teacher and opportunities to practice skills to enhance the educative experience and engagement.
Note: This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources and does not deliver training nor undertake assessment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have
Appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications (Certificate II or above in Electrical Trade (preferred) or other allied trades) and a commitment to maintain technical currency.
Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
