About the role
We have an exciting full time permanent opportunity for a creative and motivated individual with current industry knowledge and experience in Allied Health to join our Shellharbour team as an Education Support Officer (ESO).
Working within a team of professionals, the Education Support Officer is supervised by the Head Teacher. The role is responsible for a range of activities which support learners and enhances the student learning experience.
A key part of this position is working with a team of teachers to coordinate work placement for over 300 Allied Health assistance students across the State, working with multiple external stakeholders to ensure compliant work placement programs are undertaken by our students.
This role does require providing support for students to understand materials and concepts under the direct supervision of the teacher, as well as some travel to different campuses, as per business needs.
Note: This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources and does not deliver training, nor undertake assessment.
About You
You will love this role if you thrive on supporting the education of future Allied Health Assistants, solving problems and helping others. You will be a part of a dynamic team, supporting students in the classroom (virtually and face to face) to successfully carry out tasks and understand their learning materials and concepts whilst creating an innovative and exciting educational environment. You will be technologically savvy with prior demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and online meeting platforms like MS Teams or Zoom to be able to support students both face to face as well as via connecting platforms. Strong organisational skills will see you excel in this role, particularly your ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, maintain accurate records, and keep learning spaces well-prepared and running smoothly.
