$103,956 salary package - includes base salary ($91,590), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (paid pro-rata)

About the role

TAFE NSW Assessors carry out independent assessments and grading for students, with a focus on supporting students to complete tasks, as well as identifying areas for further training. Assessors work within a team of industry professionals in an engaging environment.

**Note: This role does not teach or deliver training.

About You

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and hold at minimum a Diploma of Aeroskills or equivalent tertiary qualification in related disciplines
  • Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously
  • Evidence of holding the appropriate qualifications to assess Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
  • Demonstrated ability to assess students against competency-based skills tasks
  • Understanding of the content of learning materials and the processes used in the discipline, and a commitment to maintain professional currency
  • Commitment and ability to provide feedback in an adult learning environment and motivate and encourage students
