$103,956 salary package - includes base salary $91,590, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

As an Assessor with TAFE NSW, you will carry out independent assessments and grading for students, with a focus to support students in achieving the completion of tasks and identify areas that may require further training.

You will be part of a collaborative team of early childhood education professionals within a supportive and engaging environment, where you will facilitate and guide students through their work placements, supporting them as they gain practical experience in early childhood education settings or on TAFE NSW campuses, while assessing their practical skills through simulated activities.

Note: This role does not teach or deliver training.

About You

You are a dedicated professional who is organised, proactive and approachable. You communicate clearly, embrace digital tools, and genuinely enjoy supporting adult learners. You value inclusive relationships and take pride in motivating learners and helping them succeed.

If you meet the follow criteria we'd love to hear from you:

  1. Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood (AQF level 7).
  2. Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  3. Evidence of holding the appropriate qualifications to assess Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details.
  4. Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
