Base salary ($68,860 - $76,008) paid pro rata, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

(Hourly rate $37.71 - $41.62)

About the role

TAFE NSW is seeking a Technical Assistant, Heavy Vehicle to work in the Automotive Teaching Section. The role is responsible for providing support in the preparation of materials and equipment to support educational delivery. In the role, you will ensure the ongoing care and maintenance of workshop equipment, facilities, and the area within the teaching section.

The role involves offering support to the teaching staff in the delivery of assessment and training of practical tasks. As well as maintaining the tools and equipment utilised by the teaching section in accordance with Work, Health, and Safety requirements.

This is a permanent, part-time part-year role, working 34.5 hours per week, during term time only (41 weeks per year) located at our Dubbo, Narromine Road campus.

About You 

Working in a supportive environment, you will play a vital role in assisting with the delivery of educational programs. Your experience in an Automotive trade environment and well-developed knowledge of tools and equipment will be vital in this role.

Your initiative to identify and organise resources required by students and staff will deliver service excellence.  You will enjoy working in a performance driven team with strong values and integrity.

You are passionate about ensuring the servicing and cleaning of tools, machinery, and equipment to provide students & staff with serviceable resources and be familiar with Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

Demonstrated knowledge in the Heavy Vehicle Industry is essential.
