About the role
TAFE NSW has a maternity leave backfill, temporary part time (0.5 FTE, 17.5 hours per week) opportunity at the Armidale campus for motivated individuals with current experience in Early Childhood to join as an Assessor and collaborate with our experienced Teachers and Head Teachers to carry out student assessments.
An Assessor is a rewarding and dynamic educational role and will carry out independent assessments and grading for students, with a focus to support students in achieving the completion of tasks and identify areas that may require further training.
Key duties include: -
Develop and conduct assessments, resit assessments
Provide feedback and support to students
Motive and encourage students to complete tasks, written assessments and activities
Administrative duties relating to students’ assessments and records
Note: This role does not teach or deliver training.
About You
We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals who have the ability to meet the following Essential Requirements:
Hold a professional qualification at Diploma or higher in Early Childhood
Evidence of holding the appropriate qualifications to assess Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
Demonstrated ability to develop and conduct assessments, validations, and moderations in the VET environment.
Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
