$108,057 package includes salary ($95,630-$113,411), employer's superannuation and annual leave loading (part time pro rata)

About the role

We are seeking outstanding educators to inspire and mentor the next generation of Arboriculture students. This is a permanent part-time role, requiring 17.5 hours per week. The position involves travel between the TAFE campuses at Padstow, Ryde, Yallah, and Richmond, as well as visits to state forests.

About You

As a TAFE NSW Teacher, your role is to guide and enhance the learning process. You will be passionate and motivated to share your extensive industry experience, and you will have proven experience in delivering training in an adult learning environment. This is your chance to build the skills, qualifications, and employability of our students, and support their career goals.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and hold a minimum Certificate III in Arboriculture - Climbing stream or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.

 Highly Desirable:

  • Elevated Work Platform Stream.
  • Diploma of Arboriculture or equivalent.
