$111,798 – $132,585 salary package - includes base salary ($98,499 – $116,813), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

We are looking for an individual with current industry experience and knowledge in Ageing and/or Disability to join our team as a permanent full-time Teacher. This role is location negotiable, and the successful candidate may be based at any TAFE NSW campus, subject to availability.

In this role, you will deliver and assess both online and face to face training for one or more of the following courses Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, Cert IV Disability and Cert IV Leisure & Health, supporting students to build practical skills and industry-ready capability. This is a campus-based position and requires regular attendance on site.

The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The successful candidates in this role will deliver educational programs and facilitate learning, enabling students to achieve their best outcomes. 

About You

You have the ambition and drive to succeed and mentor your students, passing on your experience and knowledge. You will also have the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders including industry and students.

We are looking for a passionate and engaged individual who meets the following Essential Requirements:  

  1. Minimum Certificate III qualification in Individual Support, Community Services, or a related Human Services field, or higher.
  2. Have a minimum of three years to five years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  3. Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
  4. Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
