Solutions Architect  

State-wide Opportunity (subject to TAFE NSW campus availability)  

Temporary full-time until 30 June 2026  

Total Remuneration Package $198,784. Base salary $176,043 plus superannuation   
and leave loading.

About the role 

This position is responsible for planning, designing and developing technology solutions while understanding and mapping business requirements to systems / technical requirements to ensure they align with enterprise architectural plans. Requiring general knowledge across verticals (e.g. network / security), the position is a cross disciplinary specialist who provides leadership and guidance to other Architects, project members and delivery teams.  

In this role, your focus will be on translating business needs into practical, future-ready technology designs. You’ll work closely with digital delivery teams, project stakeholders, and fellow architects to solve complex challenges, modernise systems, and ensure every solution aligns with TAFE NSW’s broader technology strategy. You’ll play a key role in shaping conversations, guiding decisions, and supporting others by bringing clarity, structure, and leadership to how solutions are designed and delivered.  

About You  

You’re a senior architecture professional with demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end solutions in complex environments. You’re confident working across different teams, balancing business goals with technical realities, and making decisions based on solid research and data. You’re a strategic thinker who can quickly shift focus between topics, solve problems with clarity, and communicate your ideas effectively and collaboratively.  

You lead with integrity, are motivated, curious, and committed to growing your subject matter expertise. You enjoy mentoring others and sharing knowledge, and you thrive in environments where collaboration and purpose drive everything you do.  

To be successful in this role, you will have:-   

  1. Degree qualification in related field or equivalent significant experience.  

  1. Experience in developing enterprise level Systems Group target strategies and architectures for platform environments for packaged and/or large-scale cloud applications.  

Highly Regarded  

  • Experience with learning management systems    

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure
