About the role

Join the team at the Institute of Applied Technology. This position is responsible for reviewing, testing, and developing applications to facilitate new use cases for the specialist technology at the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) to ensure a high level of design accuracy and end product quality, focusing on growing the learning technology capability within TAFE. The position will explore and implement a range of interventions to ensure learning technologies support business intentions.

In line with our working flexibly procedure, this position requires onsite campus attendance at Meadowbank for a minimum of four days per week and one day working from home. Based on operational needs, you may be required to travel to the Kingswood campus.

 About You 

We are seeking an experienced professional to operationalise the use of the AnyTown model and the Cyber Range Training Centre for TAFE-led delivery. The role involves collaborating with product teams and partners to support design processes, develop demonstrations, and coordinate communication strategies.

Responsibilities include integrating new technologies into products, providing expert guidance on specialist equipment, and engaging with industry to explore innovative techniques. You will be skilled in delivering strategic insights to leadership and have expertise in infrastructure configuration, orchestration tools, scripting languages, and network configuration.

You will have the following:

  • Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge, and experience
  • Experience in the exploration, trialling, and implementation of emerging learning technologies.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (required before commencement).
  • Advanced knowledge of Unity3D and strong C# programming experience.
  • Experience with infrastructure configuration, management, and orchestration tools (Docker or equivalent)
  • Proficient in shell and one or more scripting languages (e.g. Python, Ruby) and a sound understanding of network configuration (DNS, routing, security, protocols).
