We invest in our people

At TAFE NSW, you will discover a diverse, dynamic, and collaborative environment, where you can innovate, create value, and do meaningful work.

We provide you with tools and ongoing training and professional development, health and wellbeing programs, a 35 hour working week with a variety of flexible working options.

About the role

This role plays a key part in strengthening TAFE’s policy framework by supporting the review and improvement of organisational policies. You will ensure policies are current, accessible, fit for purpose, and compliant with relevant standards. A core responsibility includes drafting and updating policies, procedures, and guidelines to meet governance requirements.

About You

As a Policy Governance Officer, you bring strong experience in policy development, policy writing, and compliance. You are confident in crafting clear, fit-for-purpose documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with business processes and meet regulatory standards.

Your ability to translate complex requirements into practical, well-structured documents sets you apart. In this role, you will be responsible for reporting, maintaining the central policy and procedure hub, and updating policies as needed.

You are adept at utilising templated documents and working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to gather accurate information. Partnering with business unit leads and senior executives, you’ll play a key role in driving effective policy development, implementation, and maintenance, while guiding policy owners to meet governance and compliance obligations aligned with organisational objectives.

Experience in education and/or training is highly regarded but not essential.
