About the role
The Manager of Payroll is responsible for leading and managing teams that deliver a wide range of employee services across TAFE NSW including the administration and processing of payroll, leave, and employee entitlements for teaching, non‑teaching, and executive staff.
In this role, you’ll ensure services are delivered to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance, while driving the ongoing development of streamlined processes and improved procedures. By optimising service delivery, you’ll play a critical part in enhancing the employee experience and supporting the organisation’s operational excellence.
About You
You are an experienced leader with a strong background in payroll and employee services, capable of managing high‑volume operations with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. You thrive on guiding teams to deliver exceptional service while fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You bring strategic thinking and resilience to complex challenges - from streamlining processes and driving change initiatives to providing trusted advice on payroll and employment conditions. With a customer‑first mindset, you inspire your team to embrace innovation, maintain morale under pressure, and consistently deliver value to the organisation.
