About the role
The Head Teacher Community Services is an educational leadership position responsible for coordinating high‑quality training delivery and supporting a diverse team of teachers and support staff. You will play a key role in shaping program outcomes, maintaining compliance with TAFE NSW policies, and ensuring delivery aligns with regulatory requirements.
While the position is primarily based at the Kingscliff campus, you will also provide leadership across our Far North Coast campuses and across the State and attend meetings across NSW, when required, as part of the Statewide Operational Model. This role offers the opportunity to influence positive team culture, lift capability, and strengthen community and industry connections across the region.
About you
You are an experienced and collaborative leader who thrives on developing others and supporting teams through change and growth.
You bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build productive relationships with industry, stakeholders, and the community. Your ability to negotiate, problem‑solve, and manage competing priorities enables you to guide your team through busy periods with confidence.
You have extensive experience in the Community Services sector and Adult Education, and you are committed to mentoring both staff and students to achieve quality outcomes. You enjoy working collaboratively and sharing your expertise to ensure TAFE NSW programs remain relevant, responsive, and impactful for the communities we serve.
