We invest in our people
At TAFE NSW, you will discover a diverse, dynamic, and collaborative environment, where you can innovate, create value, and do meaningful work.
We provide you with tools and ongoing training and professional development, health and wellbeing programs, and depending on your role, a 35-hour working week with a variety of flexible working options.
About the role
The Executive Officer (EO) provides high-level executive, secretariat, and project support to the Chief Information Office, including preparing decision-ready advice, coordinating governance requirements, and ensuring the timely flow of accurate information across the organisation.
In this role within the Digital Solutions Group, you will:
• Translate complex digital and operational information into clear, concise, decision-ready briefings for the CIO, ensuring accuracy, alignment across inputs, and readiness for senior governance forums.
• Integrate advice across technical and non-technical domains, including architecture, cyber security, identity services, education platforms, and major systems programs, to ensure issues and impacts are fully connected and not considered in isolation.
• Coordinate cross-group dependencies and operational constraints, including release cycles, change windows, frontline education impacts, and compliance requirements. This requires an ability to anticipate sequencing issues and ensure timely escalation.
• Manage portfolio-wide risks, actions, and follow-ups, maintaining high-quality tracking across infrastructure uplift, cyber initiatives, systems rationalisation, ERP transformation, and operational services.
• Support executive governance, including drafting high-quality papers for the Managing Director, Executive Leadership Team, Audit and Risk Committee, and key cross-functional steering groups.
About You
You will have recent demonstrated experience in executive support, information technology, governance, and operational coordination within a complex education and highly regulated environment. You can quickly understand diverse subject matter, connect information across multiple workstreams, and identify where risks, impacts, or gaps need to be addressed.
You excel at producing clear, structured, senior-level written advice, often under tight timeframes, and you bring a disciplined approach to managing actions, priorities, and sensitive matters. You are comfortable working at pace, triaging emerging issues, and ensuring leaders receive advice that is accurate, contextualised, and ready for decision.
Your strong relationship skills, professional judgement, and ability to work across varied stakeholder groups allow you to operate as a trusted advisor and key point of integration within the Digital Solutions Group.
