$103,956 salary package - includes base salary $91,590, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (paid pro rata for part-time position)

About the role

As an Assessor with TAFE NSW, you will carry out independent assessments and grading for students, with a focus to support students in achieving the completion of tasks and identify areas that may require further training.

Join a collaborative and supportive team dedicated to preparing the next generation of School Based Education Support professionals.

As an Assessor, you will work closely with teachers and students to assess practical skills and workplace performance, conduct workplace visits, review assessment evidence and support quality and compliance requirements. Your expertise will help ensure students can demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to successfully complete their qualification and enter the workforce with confidence.

Note: This role does not teach or delivery training.

About You

You are a dedicated professional who is organised, proactive and approachable. You communicate clearly, embrace digital tools, and genuinely enjoy supporting adult learners. You value inclusive relationships and take pride in motivating learners and helping them succeed.

If you meet the following criteria we’d love to hear from you:

  1. Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Certificate IV in School Based Education Support
  2. Evidence of holding the appropriate qualifications to assess Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document here for details.
  3. Demonstrated understanding of VET and Higher Education regulatory compliance requirements.
  4. Understanding of the content of learning materials and the processes used in the discipline, and a commitment to maintain professional currency.
  5. Willingness and ability to travel to complete assessor visits as per business needs
