About the role
The Accountant, Financial Reporting is responsible for supporting the financial control & treasury team in all respects, including the accounting, measurement, and statutory/internal reporting. The Accountant – Financial Reporting will be involved in cashflow projection, preparing Fringe Benefits Tax Return, transaction accounting, analysis and control across the finance function of TAFE NSW.
About You
You will have a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably pursuing CPA or CA qualification. Your extensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, the Public Finance and Audit Act, Treasurer’s Directions, Fringe Benefits Tax, GST and other government regulations, policies and procedures is essential to your success in this position.
You will have the ability to identify and analyse trends, review data and identify opportunities to improve systems or processes. A high attention to detail is critical to ensure the accuracy of accounts and compliance to current accounting standards, work processes and controls.
