About the role

A General Assistant - Toolstoreperson is responsible for providing high level customer service to enhance the effective and efficient delivery of frontline class support. Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to supporting students by contributing to a positive learning experience, general administration work, purchasing and organising tools, equipment and materials for students and staff. 

This position will carry out manual handling activities.

About you 

• You are a self-starter who is willing to be hands-on to support learning outcomes and delivery in the classroom.
• You hold strong WHS ethics and have a willingness to learn skills associated with the role.
• Having demonstrated experience working within a trade environment, using a range of hand and power tools and able to conduct minor repairs and maintenance would be an advantage.

Essential Criteria

1. Demonstrated experience working within a trade environment or related work areas.
2. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of purchasing within a trade environment.
3. Demonstrated experience in use of hand and power tools, and tool maintenance in a trade environment.
4. Possession of or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment a Forklift Licence
5. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member or with limited supervision.
