About the role

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Sports Turf Management students at our Ryde Campus! 

As a Teacher of Sports Turf Management, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education and training to students aspiring to excel in the field of sports turf management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering engaging curriculum content that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  • Facilitating hands-on learning experiences and practical training sessions to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the industry.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to students, fostering their professional and personal development.
  • Collaborating with industry partners and stakeholders to ensure program relevance and currency.
  • Participating in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in sports turf management practices and technologies.
  • Contributing to the overall academic and administrative functions of the department and TAFE NSW.

About You 

To be successful in this role you must:

  1. Hold appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications in the discipline and hold the Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent.
  2. Have a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in industry, gained no longer than five (5) years previously
  3. Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
  4. Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.

  • Current AFQ3 chemical accreditation
