About the role
Join TAFE NSW as a Teacher of Metal Fabrication and Welding and become part of a supportive, collaborative team where people genuinely enjoy working together and helping students succeed. Based at the TAFE NSW Orange Campus, this permanent full-time role offers the chance to build a rewarding teaching career while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of regional NSW, including more time with family and a strong sense of community.
In this role, you'll share your industry expertise with a diverse range of students from all walks of life, helping them develop practical skills and achieve their career goals. You'll work closely with local industries, including mining, manufacturing and agriculture, ensuring training remains relevant and responsive to workforce needs. While based primarily at your home campus, there may be occasional regional travel required to support delivery across the region.
About You
You are a qualified Metal Fabrication and Welding professional who is passionate about developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople. With strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success, you enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and creating positive learning experiences. You thrive in a team environment, build strong relationships with industry and community stakeholders, and are flexible in supporting training delivery where needed across the region.
