Richmond Campus

Temporary Part Time until April 2026 with the possibility of extension. Three consecutive teaching days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) once per month.

$108,057 package includes salary ($95,630-$113,411), employer's superannuation and annual leave loading (pro-rata)

About the role

We are seeking outstanding educators to inspire and mentor the next generation of Farriery students at our Richmond Campus. This is a temporary part time position until April 2026, with the possibility of extension. You will be required to commit to teaching 3 consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) once per month. Travel to our Kurri Kurri Campus will also be required on occasion.

As a TAFE NSW Teacher, your role is to guide and enhance the learning process. You will be passionate and motivated to share your extensive industry experience, and you will have proven experience in delivering training in an adult learning environment. This is your chance to build the skills, qualifications, and employability of our students, and support their career goals.

About You

You are a dedicated farrier, bringing strong technical expertise and a passion for equine health, delivering precision hoof care that enhances performance and well-being. To be successful in the role you will:

  • Hold appropriate subject knowledge, skills and a minimum Certificate III Farriery.
  • Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • Hold the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
  • Be prepared to continue to develop your Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
