Location: Strathfield Campus

Temporary Part-Time (21 hours per week) until July 2026

$108,057 package includes salary ($95,630 - $113,411 pro-rata), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

We’re seeking a world-class educator to inspire the next generation of community services professionals by joining our team of teachers on a temporary part-time (21 hrs p/w) basis at TAFE Digital Strathfield Campus.

As a Teacher of Community Services at TAFE NSW, you will play a vital role in shaping the future workforce by delivering high-quality vocational education and training. You will design and facilitate engaging learning experiences that support students in achieving their goals, whether through campus-based, online, or work-based delivery. Your responsibilities will include preparing and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, maintaining industry relevance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also collaborate with industry partners and the broader community to ensure training remains current, responsive, and aligned with workforce needs.

About You

You are a passionate educator with a strong background in community services and a commitment to student success. With at least three years of recent industry experience and Bachelor Degree or higher in a relevant field, you bring both technical expertise and real-world insight to your teaching. Your excellent communication skills, adaptability, and collaborative approach make you a valued team member, and you thrive in dynamic, diverse learning environments where you can make a meaningful impact.

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field such as Social Science, Counselling, Community Services, Mental Health, Social Work etc
  • Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
  • Ability to meet all essential requirements outlined in the position description.
