Ballina Campus – Permanent Part Time (0.6 FTE / 3 Days Per Week)

Salary package $111,798 - $132,585 (pro rata) – includes base salary ($98,499 - $116,813), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and industry-experienced Teacher of Community Services at our Ballina Campus to deliver high-quality, contemporary training that prepares students for successful careers in community services and related settings.

In this role, you will use your industry expertise to equip learners with the practical skills, theoretical knowledge and professional behaviours required for real-world practice. As an educator, you will foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to engage, grow and achieve their potential. You will support their learning journey and help them achieve successful career outcomes.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, shaping the next generation of Community Services professionals and helping to ensure they are skilled, confident and ready to meet industry needs.

This permanent part-time opportunity includes:

• Approximately 12 hours teaching per week
• Approximately 9 hours related duties per week
• Delivery across Community Services and/or Counselling programs
• Contribution to a statewide delivery initiative
• Potential travel across the Northern Rivers region, including:
  • Casino
  • Wollongbar
  • Lismore
• Some delivery may be conducted through online platforms and may include occasional evening teaching sessions

The successful candidate may be required to teach across a range of qualifications, including the Diploma of Counselling.

You are passionate about supporting people to learn, grow and achieve their goals. Drawing on your industry experience, you can engage and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds while creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

You are an effective communicator with strong organisational skills and a commitment to maintaining industry currency. You enjoy working collaboratively, building positive relationships and contributing to high-quality student outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Bachelor of Community Services (or similar), a Bachelor of Counselling, or a higher relevant qualification, together with a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent as determined by TAFE NSW).
• A minimum of two (2) years recent industry experience relevant to Community Services and/or Counselling.
• Willingness and ability to travel across delivery locations as required by business needs.
