About the role

We’re seeking world-class academics who are ready to shape the future of Children’s Education by inspiring the next generation of higher education students. We currently have multiple exciting opportunities available across Sydney:

  • 3 x Permanent Full-time opportunities located at Ultimo Campus
  • 2 x Temporary Full-time opportunities located at Randwick Campus until July 2027
  • 1 x Temporary Full-time opportunity located at St Leonards Campus until July 2027

As an Academic in Children’s Education, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating meaningful learning experiences that support student success both inside and outside the classroom. You’ll deliver engaging, contemporary educational programs and adapt your teaching to meet diverse learner needs.

Your role will include:

  • Delivering high‑quality teaching with flexibility, creativity and inclusive practice
  • Undertaking assessment and evaluation of learning outcomes.
  • Maintaining and enhancing your professional and industry expertise
  • Contributing to decisions that shape a positive, supportive learning environment
  • Liaising with local industry, other educational providers, and the community to ensure programs remain current and workforce‑ready
  • Travelling within the Eastern City area to conduct workplace-based student assessments.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will:

  1. Hold appropriate subject knowledge, skills, and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood (AQF Level 7) AND a post graduate qualification (AQF Level 8 or above) in a related field. 
  2. Have a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  3. Be prepared to continue to develop scholarly practice and skills as well as your currency in Early Childhood Education.
