As the Hub Coordinator, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Suburban Study Hub working to nurture the engagement, self-efficacy, wellbeing and retention of students pre, during and post their course.  You will implement projects, build partnerships with schools, community & industry, and work to create opportunities for local community members to participate in tertiary education.

  • Copies of your qualifications, where applicable (upload as one PDF file). Certified copies preferred; these will be required if successful for the role.
  • Response to the two targeted questions when prompted in the application process (max 500 words per response).

Targeted Question 1: The Macquarie Fields Suburban Study Hub will serve students from multiple institutions, many of whom are new to tertiary study or have had poor past experiences with educational providers. You’ll need to deliver a consistent, high-quality service in a brand-new setting with evolving systems, one staff member, and a wide range of student needs. Describe a time when you had to design or transform a customer-facing service model under tight operational constraints. How did you ensure the service was genuinely customer-centred, scalable, and measurable? What unexpected challenges did you encounter, and how did you address them?

Targeted Question 2: This role requires you to engage and influence multiple stakeholders across government, education, and community sectors, many of whom may have competing priorities or limited understanding of the Macquarie Fields Suburban Study Hub’s purpose. Explain a time when you had to develop and execute a multi-channel communication strategy to build stakeholder understanding, manage expectations, and align different groups toward a common outcome. How did you adjust your approach across different audiences, and how did you measure its effectiveness?
