$61,921 package includes salary ($54,555 – $67,180 per annum) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (pro-rata)

About the role 

The Stores Attendant Hairdressing and Beauty is responsible for providing high standards of customer service to internal and external clients in relation to a range of stores supply and administration activities to support the effective and efficient delivery of educational programs and operation at TAFE’s Granville and Liverpool Campus.   

We are currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time Part Year (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for 41 weeks per year) at Liverpool Campus. The non-working weeks will align with TAFE NSW vacation weeks. This role may require the successful candidate to support evening or weekend classes pending business needs. Part-time hours per week may be considered for the right applicant. 

Please note that this position is not a trainer or support teacher role. The Store Attendant role does not include student training responsibilities.

Reporting to the Head Teacher, this position will:  

  • Allocate models to classrooms and ensure the efficient preparation.  
  • Assist with administration and handle a range of enquiries via phone and “in person”, following up on routine queries and maintaining a register of hairdressing appointments in accordance with class schedules.  
  • Implement processes and perform activities to ensure safe, sustainable and economic use of equipment and materials through methods such as adherence to safety procedures, compliance with Maintenance of SDA and chemical storage requirements.  
  • Perform general cleaning, maintenance, stocktaking and security monitoring of equipment and bulk material sin store including reordering of consumables in liaison with teachers to meet class operational needs.  

About You

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Certificate III in relevant discipline such as Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy or Nail Technology or Make Up or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry and professional hair and beauty products. 
  • Proven experience performing stock control, ordering, maintenance and related cleaning activities. 
  • Effective customer service skills, experience handling cash register transactions and maintaining accurate records. 
  • Strong proficiency in technology and computer applications

Highly Regarded 

  • Excellent communication skills and experience working in team environments.  
  • Effective customer service skills including experience in responding to queries from internal and external clients during busy periods.
