$145,605.59 - $160,719.59 package includes salary ($128,284 - $141,600), employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role
The Senior Finance Officer, Accounting Operations assists in the implementation and provision of operational Systems, processes and procedures to effectively deliver financial and accounting services to TAFE NSW.
This role is a highly technical role and supports TAFENSW with Finance Systems and reporting requirements.
This is a hybrid role where you will be required to attend Kingswood Campus one day a week to meet with the broader team.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with solid experience in Finance Systems, including Budgeting and Forecasting processes, along with strong capability in maintaining and enhancing Financial Reporting Systems. You will bring hands‑on experience supporting users in SAP (preferably S/4HANA), particularly across core finance modules, and an ability to troubleshoot issues, resolve system queries, and optimise functional usage across the organisation.
You will also have demonstrated experience working across multiple finance systems—understanding integrations, data flows, reconciliations, and end‑to‑end process impacts. Your ability to analyse system behaviour, identify enhancement opportunities, and contribute to continuous process improvement will be critical to your success.
In addition, the successful candidate will bring strong proficiency in Microsoft products, including advanced Excel for financial modelling and analysis, as well as the ability to utilise tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Automate to streamline workflows and improve reporting outcomes.
You will be independent, outcome‑driven, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities. Strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement experience, and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business‑focused language are essential.
