Senior Database Engineer
Location negotiable within NSW (depending on TAFE NSW campus availability)
Temporary Full-Time role up to June 2025
Package: $135,320, includes salary ($119,757 - $132,188) plus superannuation and leave loading

About the role
The Senior Oracle Database Engineer is responsible for designing and managing the database systems at TAFE to ensure secure access along with high performance and reliability to achieve optimal outcomes for business requirements.
You will apply your technical knowledge across TAFE database systems to resolve issues, contribute to application and platform management, perform regular upgrades and review practices and processes to ensure data integrity.
About You
You bring extensive experience implementing and supporting Oracle database services within complex environments, with strong expertise in database design, administration, and maintenance. You have a proven track record of managing highly available, geographically distributed databases, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with proficiency in scripting and automation.
Your experience includes managing and maintaining large, secure Oracle database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You have designed and implemented robust procedures and guidelines to uphold database security, privacy, and confidentiality. Additionally, you have demonstrated the ability to ensure seamless integration of database technologies and platforms to deliver exceptional service across the organisation.
