Total Remuneration Package $191,958, includes a base salary of $170, 090 plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role

This position is responsible for the management, planning, maintenance and support of TAFE NSW’s SAP Platforms and Services.

In this role you will lead a multi-disciplinary team to manage the end to end lifecycle of the Finance and HR Platform, including defining and executing vision and strategy, validating product features and design, and collecting and prioritising inputs to inform product decisions and direction. The role is further tasked with coaching and leading the broader Platforms team.

You will ensure currency with industry trends that have the potential to create value, optimise the long term suitability of the Platforms and contribute to the delivery of the wider Service Strategy as well as provide ongoing third level technical support for the Platforms; analyse and resolve problems, follow-through with service providers; monitor recurring problems to identify trends and resolve performance issues.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:-

  1. Degree qualification in related field or equivalent significant experience.
  2. Deep understanding of Finance and HR landscape including SAP best practice and Delivery Lifecycle methodologies.
  3. Ability to interact with management at all levels, and provide timely/quality advice.
  4. Substantial management experience, (ideally within an IT or SAP environment) and strong demonstrated SAP experience.

Highly Regarded

  1. Prior experience managing teams to deliver and support SAP platforms (including ideally SAP ECC and S/4HANA enterprise resource planning systems).
  2. High level understanding of SAP core modules including financial accounting and controlling, human capital management, and payroll.
  3. Knowledge of underpinning financial accounting and control, financial management, human resources and payroll processes.
  4. Experience across other services and applications within the SAP ecosystem including SAP Ariba and SAP Concur, and aspects of SAP lifecycle management including SAP integrations and data migration, SAP GRC, SAP Security Best Practice, SAP authorisation concepts, and SAP Transports.

Describe a situation when you had to manage a major incident or problem that was both critical and unexpected. Explain the steps you took as Platform Manager to trouble-shoot the problem including facilitating root cause analysis, and escalation to and engagement with cross-functional teams to assist triaging the issue. What approaches did you adopt to ensure effective communication of the problem? How did you ensure that the incident was resolved swiftly? What strategies and preventive measures did you implement to avoid similar issues in the future?
