$216,278 salary package - includes base salary ($190,867), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

The Project Practice Lead is responsible for establishing and leading best‑practice program and project management governance across TAFE NSW. The role sets and embeds fit‑for‑purpose methodologies, standards, tools and reporting that enable accurate tracking of delivery, risks, issues, finances and resources, while supporting strong decision‑making and successful outcomes across a complex portfolio of initiatives.

Leading a high‑performing PMO team, the Project Practice Lead partners closely with project sponsors, delivery leads and senior stakeholders to provide high‑quality analysis, reporting and operational support. The role plays a critical part in strengthening project discipline, improving transparency and assurance, and driving continuous improvement in how projects and programs are governed and delivered, with a strong focus on customer outcomes, accountability and safety.

About you 

You are an experienced project and program management leader with a strong background in establishing best‑practice PMO governance across complex portfolios. You deliver clear insight through robust project reporting and effective management of risk, finances and resources, and influence confidently across sponsors and delivery teams. You lead high‑performing teams and drive discipline, transparency and continuous improvement, with customer outcomes, accountability and safety at the core of delivery.
