About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support the National TAFE Network (NTN) Pre-commencement Microskills Project within the Construction Centre of Excellence. You will play a key role in supporting the development and national rollout of short online learning resources designed to help apprentices prepare for training and employment.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you will coordinate project activities, engage with stakeholders across participating states and territories, and help ensure deliverables are progressed on time and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include maintaining project schedules and documentation, coordinating meetings and follow-up actions, preparing progress reports, and supporting implementation activities. You will monitor milestones, track dependencies and emerging risks, and escalate issues where required to support informed decision-making and successful project outcomes

About you

You are an organised and proactive project professional with strong communication skills and experience coordinating projects or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders. You can manage competing priorities, build effective working relationships and maintain momentum across a range of activities.

You are confident bringing together information from different sources, maintaining accurate project records and supporting timely decision-making. You take ownership of your work, exercise sound judgement, and know when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate them.

Most importantly, you enjoy working in a collaborative environment where clear communication, accountability and delivering outcomes are valued.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Degree in relevant discipline OR equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Significant experience relevant to project management and administration and exposure to project management tools and significant competency in Microsoft Excel.

Highly Regarded

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Experience coordinating projects or initiatives within the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
  • Experience working with apprentices or supporting apprenticeship programs, including an understanding of the Australian Apprenticeships system.
