We provide you with tools, ongoing training and professional development, health and wellbeing programs, and a 35-hour working week with a variety of flexible working options.

About the role

We're seeking an experienced and influential strategic leader to join TAFE NSW as a Manager Strategy and Alignment within the Strategic Planning and Policy team. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll facilitate the development and delivery of TAFE NSW's corporate strategy and enterprise planning frameworks, ensuring alignment between government priorities, organisational objectives and operational plans. Working across the organisation and with key external stakeholders, you'll provide strategic advice, lead environmental analysis, and deliver insights that support informed decision-making and long-term success.

As a trusted strategic partner, you'll lead a high-performing team to develop strategic and business plans, translate complex priorities into practical actions, oversee strategic progress monitoring and reporting, and identify opportunities that shape the future direction of TAFE NSW. This is an opportunity to make a significant organisational impact, influencing enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen TAFE NSW's ability to deliver world-class education and skills outcomes for communities across New South Wales.

About you

You are a strategic and influential leader with demonstrated experience in strategic planning, environmental scanning, impact assessment and strategy development within a complex organisational environment. You have a proven ability to analyse complex issues, synthesise information from multiple sources and provide evidence-based advice that supports executive decision-making and drives organisational outcomes. Holding a degree in a relevant discipline, or bringing equivalent skills, knowledge and experience, you are passionate about using strategic insights to shape direction and deliver meaningful results.

You excel at turning strategy into action, bringing strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to coordinating strategy implementation, governance frameworks, performance monitoring and organisational reporting. Your collaborative approach, strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build trusted relationships enable you to work effectively across diverse teams and with senior leaders. Above all, you're a forward-thinking professional who thrives on solving complex challenges, driving continuous improvement and contributing to the long-term success of the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will also hold a current Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
