$85,313 - $101,315 salary package - includes base salary ($75,164 - $89,263), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

This position is responsible for providing professional library and information services, assisting in the development, coordination and promotion of front-line innovative customer-focused library and information services and systems that support the education goals and future directions of TAFE NSW. 

As a Librarian at TAFE NSW, you’ll play a crucial role in empowering our diverse student body by providing top-notch information literacy instruction and support, both in-person and online. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering and promoting innovative, customer-focused library services that are key to our students’ educational success.

About You 

We’re looking for enthusiastic and dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality library and information services.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you:

  • Hold relevant qualifications: You are eligible for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) with an ALIA-accredited library and information science qualification
  • Bring strong expertise: You have a solid understanding of library and information service principles, concepts, and theory.
  • Are tech-savvy and future-focused: You’re confident with library systems, practices, and emerging technologies, including digital literacy and AI. You’re also capable of supporting others in developing these skills.
  • Thrive in dynamic environments: You’re adaptable and willing to travel and work across the network libraries as required to meet business needs.  

The successful candidates should be willing to work between different library locations within the Western Sydney Central network as required. This includes Bankstown, The Hills (Castle and Baulkham Hills), Granville, Lidcombe and Padstow campuses.
