At TAFE NSW, you will discover a diverse, dynamic, and collaborative environment, where you can innovate, create value, and do meaningful work.

We provide you with tools and ongoing training and professional development, health and wellbeing programs, and a variety of flexible working options.

About the role

As a Librarian at TAFE NSW, you’ll be the go‑to expert who connects students with the information, tools, and confidence they need to thrive. You’ll deliver dynamic, customer‑focused support, both in person and online, helping learners build strong information literacy skills and navigate a wide range of digital and physical resources with ease.

You’ll collaborate with teaching teams, champion our collections and digital guides, and promote innovative library services that inspire engagement across campus. If you’re energised by helping others learn, love staying ahead of emerging technologies, and enjoy shaping a modern, impactful library experience, this is a role where you’ll make a real difference every day.

About You

You’re an enthusiastic and dedicated library professional who is passionate about delivering high‑quality library and information services. With a recognised graduate or postgraduate library qualification and eligibility for ALIA membership (Check for your qualification on the ALIA Website), you bring a strong foundation in the principles, concepts, and theory of contemporary library practice. Your expertise enables you to provide informed guidance, support customers effectively, and contribute confidently to service delivery.

Tech‑savvy and future‑focused, you’re comfortable working with library systems including circulation, inventory, reporting, and analytics and you stay curious about emerging technologies such as digital literacy tools and AI. You’re able to support others in developing these skills and enjoy helping people navigate the evolving information landscape. Adaptable and collaborative, you thrive in dynamic environments and are willing to travel occasionally to maintain service continuity across the library network.
