Facilities Officer

Permanent Full Time

$93,813 – $103,551 salary package - includes base salary ( $82,653 - $91,233 ), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (if part time add paid pro-rata)

About the role

The Facilities Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive facilities and asset management services to a cluster of TAFE NSW sites.

Working as part of the Facilities team, you will liaise with contractors and service providers, coordinate site access and inductions, monitor work standards and compliance, and undertake a range of facilities activities including minor maintenance and repairs, security access, emergency response, stock control, distribution and systems administration.

You will play an important role in ensuring campuses remain safe, compliant, operational and welcoming for students, staff and visitors while delivering a high standard of customer service.

This is a permanent full-time role working at TAFE NSW’s Northern Beaches campus. Occasional travel to other campuses in the Sydney region may be required.

About you 

We are looking for a proactive, customer-focused and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a hands-on operational environment and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes.

You may already have experience in facilities management, building services, maintenance, logistics, property operations or a trades-related field. However, we also welcome applicants who have developed transferable skills in other industries and are looking to build a career in facilities management.

Most importantly, you are reliable, willing to learn, take initiative and enjoy working as part of a team to solve problems and deliver great customer outcomes.

You will ideally bring:

• Experience in an operational, maintenance, logistics, customer service or facilities-related environment.
• The ability to organise and prioritise tasks, respond to changing circumstances and manage competing demands.
• Confidence building positive relationships with customers, contractors and colleagues.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Experience using technology and computerised systems to manage work activities, records and communications.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Essential Requirements

• A valid Working with Children Check (required prior to commencement)
• A current Class C Driver Licence.
• A Forklift Licence, or willingness and ability to obtain one.
• Willingness and ability to update licences/certifications and undertake essential training as required.
