About the role

We are currently seeking passionate and motivated individuals with relevant qualifications and experience in the nursing sector to join our team. We have 4x permanent part-time positions available across the following locations: Ultimo, St Leonards, St George, and Meadowbank.

TAFE Assessors carry out independent assessments and grading for students, with a focus on supporting students to complete tasks, as well as identifying areas for further training. Assessors work within a team of industry professionals in an engaging environment. Successful candidates in this role will be required to support students whilst on clinical placement, with the ability to work across a number of healthcare facilities across Sydney.

Note: This role does not teach or deliver training.

About You

We are looking for passionate and engaged individuals who have the ability to meet the following essential requirements:

  1. Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent (minimum)
  2. Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
  3. Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
  4. Three years post-qualification experience in the Nursing sector (minimum), gained no longer than five years ago
  5. Demonstrated ability to assess students against competency-based skills tasks
  6. Understanding of the content of learning materials and the processes used in the discipline, and a commitment to maintain professional currency.
  7. Commitment and ability to provide feedback in an adult learning environment + motivate and encourage students
