Location Negotiable across NSW (Based on TAFE campus availability)

Permanent, full-time

Salary Package $178,647 including base salary $158,152 plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Diversity & Inclusion Specialist to lead strategies that foster a diverse, inclusive, and culturally safe TAFE NSW. In this role, your expertise will be essential in advancing Aboriginal outcomes initiatives, while also supporting a broad range of diversity priorities.

You will design, develop, and monitor action plans aligned with organisational goals, promoting cultural and inclusive capability across the TAFENSW. Skilled in engaging diverse audiences, managing complex projects, and identifying solutions, you will contribute to informed decision-making and ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery. With strong knowledge of Closing the Gap, Reconciliation, and significant diversity matters, along with sharp attention to detail for briefing documents and government responses, you’ll champion a safe, equitable TAFE NSW within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will meet the below essential requirements:

  1. Aboriginality (Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act of 1977). Applicants are to provide Confirmation of Aboriginality as part of their application.
  2. A valid Working with Children Check (required prior to commencement).
  3. Degree qualification in relevant field or equivalent significant experience.
  4. Highly developed applied knowledge of Diversity and Inclusion strategy and implementation requirements.
